In the tradition of 18th century America, this is a place for me to share and discuss different aspects of liberty and freedom with my family and others.
LibertyElm is a high school U.S.History and government teacher who loves exploring the American Founding. Philosophically, he secretly likes teaching Whig history though it has gone out of style (but it will rise again). He also spends a great deal of time in the 18th century and counts as friends Edmund Burke, James Madison (the earlier one), Benedict Arnold (before he you know what),John Adams, and probably more Alexander Hamilton than Thomas Jefferson and hopes that someday they will get along. His office is his room at the high school where he daily invites students to come in and join him as he probes the ideas that have made Western Civilization and this country great.
Hey Mr. Elder, I too will be adding your blog to my Google RSS Reader. I'm looking forward to reading about all the American History that I don't, but should, know.
